		<description>I am a programmer and discovered I made a technical programming error.  In the first place, I have not hesitated to own it, contact people in the correct order,  apologize, determine if I can fix the problem, and reconstruct what went wrong.  I did all of that ASAP as soon as I understood the nature of the problem.  Now is the hard part: living with it and facing people who trust me and regaining that trust.  
As programmers we loose sleep over the prospect of making errors and have systems in place to catch them.   

The postings are very helpful so I can work through this intelligently, and gain some perspective.</description>
